Abbie's story of how her session came to be is an interesting one. Originally, her mom booked the same photographer she had used for Abbie's older brothers. This photographer was fine (seriously no shade to them), just a different style than what Abbie had envisioned. Abbie's mom didn't realize Abbie already had me in mind for her senior photographer. So after the first shoot, they realized Abbie just wasn't going to be thrilled until she had the photos she had always imagined for her senior year.
Enter me. ;)
Abbie was such a dream to work with!! She and her mom are so sweet, and Abbie was a natural. Hearing from them that a shoot with me felt like hanging out with a friend was the best compliment ever and the feeling was mutual. :)
Also can we talk about how good this girl looks in blue??
I'm so happy Abbie convinced her mom to still hire me for her senior photos. Not only did we connect so well, but we got exactly what she was hoping for.
And as an added note, not all photographers are created equal. Parents make sure not to just check "senior photos" off a to do list. Talk to your teen about their thoughts and what they like. You get ONE shot at this. The next time they're photographed professionally will likely be at their wedding where it's also about another person too. This is the only shoot where it will be all about them, so make sure you do it right. ;)
