Oh Alexa. Such a dream to photograph. When this sweet girl and her mom came in for their consultation, I knew instantly that it was going to be a fun one. Their family loves the outdoors and nature, so her main request was a location along those lines, preferably with a creek or river. After some scouting and bouncing around some ideas, we landed on the nature trail at the Schiele Museum. It's not very big, but it's lovely back there especially in the late summer/early Fall. Something you'll notice about Alexa quickly is that she has the most fantastic style that skews a bit on the boho/hippie side. I LOVE IT.
For both the Destination and the Wildflower Senior Experiences, I give my seniors the option of multiple locations. It's a great way to completely switch up looks. Everyone has diverse interests and style preferences, and changing the environment allows you to show those different sides of yourself. Alexa wanted to incorporate a more artsy/urban look for her second location, so we headed to Camp North End which has become my second home over the last couple of years. haha. Ironically, even though the nature area was at first the main priority, it turns out she and her family loved the Camp North End photos the best! This is another fantastic reason to book the Senior Experience. You never know how much more you'll love a location that felt more like an "add on" at first!
Alexa's outfits were absolutely perfect for each location. This is also why I recommend a consultation, as it gives me a chance to help guide my seniors in picking the perfect look for each place. Alexa's hippie vibe was perfect for this next set! And I'm sure you're thinking what most of my new clients assume... Alexa is clearly a natural in front of the camera and must be that "model type". You guys, she is 100% just like every other senior I get! She's in her school band, doesn't wear makeup that often, babysits, and wasn't sure what to do with her hands at first. ;) I promise I guide every single one of my seniors in order to get some awesome shots while making sure to stay true to you!
To end her Camp North End Senior Experience, Alexa wanted to get a few night time shots, especially with our gorgeous uptown Charlotte skyline! To match the look, we switched her back to the black top as it felt more "city" vs hippie.
I had such a fun time with Alexa! She's seriously the nicest, most genuine person. Who knew she had a little hidden inner model?! I'm so looking forward to working with her and her wonderful family again soon!
