Oh sweet Lilly. I first met her and her awesome family years ago at our very first family session. Fast forward to her joining the Model Team, several styled shoots, headshots for her to get her dream job, a couple more family sessions... and we're finally at her own senior portrait experience. For her senior photos, she really only had two requests. She wanted to start in a more natural setting with big open fields, and she wanted to end at her high school, where she'd had so many special memories. We started in Davidson, NC at one of my favorite places. While there, we both kept our eye on the big clouds that were moving our way. Thankfully I work fast! Lol. At one point, we were shielding ourselves under my reflector and hiding under trees. Refusing to let rain beat me, we hurried and grabbed a few more shots before it picked up. We high tailed it out of there just as the clouds got darker. In a few of the shots in the next series, you'll notice the grey sky off in the distance. That's the storm we barely missed! Lol
After the field, we escaped the rain and headed to Southpoint High School in Belmont. Lilly's boyfriend joined us, so he could unlock the gate to the field. Little did he know Lilly had a few ideas in mind to include him in our shoot. Lol. Jake's such a nice guy and was game for whatever Lilly wanted. He was also very helpful in getting some natural, adorable laughs out of her!
