Morgan was one of those rare few girls I get that is absolutely adorable but doesn't enjoy getting her photos taken. I can relate though. It's normal to feel self-conscious in front of a camera, not sure of how to pose or what to do. This is why you hire a senior photographer that's not only good at what they do, but also makes you feel at ease and comfortable. She agreed when her mom asked her, so it was my mission to prove to her this could be fun and the images would be totally worth every second. When we met for her consultation, she wanted to include some shots in nature but wasn't really feeling the "big open field" kind of look. So that's what I gave her. ;)
We wrapped up our time in Davidson and headed for Camp North End where we met up with her dad and sister for a few family photos. For every senior shoot, I set aside enough time to get a few family photos in before their senior heads off for college and into adulthood. Often this is the last time everyone is together in one place aside from holidays.
Afterwards Morgan changed into these incredible butterfly jeans and we continued our senior session around Camp North End.
I love watching my hesitant seniors gradually become more and more comfortable with their shoot. Morgan was such a dream. Turns out one of Morgan's absolute favorite artists is Van Gogh. Lucky for us, CNE had hosted the Van Gogh experience recently, so there was plenty of artwork to still use. Towards the end of her senior session, the skies put on quite the show for us. That entire series was definitely my favorite.
I had such a great time with Morgan, and I'm so so happy she ended up loving her photos and the entire experience!
