Edited to add an intro: Lauren ended up being one of those incredibly memorable seniors for me. Not only was she so fun and easy to photograph, but we just instantly hit it off as friends. She ended up becoming my main photography assistant for 2021 before leaving for school. Not only that, we make sure to meet during Christmas break to catch up, and she still assists if she's in town. Love love love this girl!
Oh my gosh, Lauren!! What a dream senior. She's adorable, funny, and full of life. I wanted to make sure we had a location that matched her energy, so we chose Camp North End. It's so colorful and eclectic and perfect for her. Also can we just take a moment to appreciate this first outfit?!
Next she switched to a cute casual look that was perfect to combine with the murals and artwork found around Camp North End. I absolutely love how artist friendly this place is, and the one perk to come out of the pandemic was that it's never crowded! We got to hit so many cool spots including the awesome skyline of Charlotte that she really wanted. For those paying attention, that sun is pretty bright which means I had to use off camera lighting to overpower that light and expose the entire scene properly. This is why it's important to hire someone that knows how to work their light. ;)
Lauren's biggest request... like much of that Class of 2021... was WATER portraits! We headed to Lake Norman after Camp North End to grab some beautiful sunset shots of her in the water. She brought what she called her "Amish dress" which was perfect. haha We got some of the most stunning, dramatic shots of her in the water and she was so happy with the results.
Lauren is seriously the coolest. I adore her confidence and just had so much fun with her.
