Emily actually came to be via a couple of friends who has also chosen me for their senior photos. When that happens, I really want to make sure that each senior has their own unique experience and images from our time together, even if we use the same locations. Like most of my spring girlies, Emily wanted to incorporate something with flowers, so we headed out to one of my favorite local botanical gardens. I swear I will never forget hearing them gasp at her gallery reveal/ordering appointment when the one of her sitting with the pink flowers popped up on the screen. Can't blame them, it's one of my favorites too. ;)
For her next location option, Emily wanted that big open field look, so we made our way to one of my favorite spots in Davidson. I've been using it ever since I started for shoots, and it's just so perfect for my nature loving girls. And you'll notice how image heavy this post is... best believe we had to add a few pages in her final album! SO WORTH IT. Emily did such a fantastic job following my prompts and just knowing how to move or change expression, that it was so hard to not pick this many. Her cute little babydoll pink top with the jeans was adorable and so her style. It gave these photos that little pop of spring color that we needed.
One of her big requests was to end at the water at sunset. She was well aware that spring water is COLD. But I don't think anyone can be prepared for that kind of freezing water. hahaha She opted to stay out of the water and just next to it, and I can't blame her. The sunset ended up being so gorgeous that evening and was the perfect way to end her incredible session day.
