Lily actually came to me as a referral from one of last year's Wildflower Model Team members, Baylee. Their little brothers played sports together, and Baylee's mom was sweet enough to gush about their experience. Lily and her mom came in for a consultation, and she was very interested in the model team. After talking it over, she decided to join. And I'm so glad she did! She's such a cool girl and a lot of fun in front of the camera. When it came time for her own senior session, she really loved the idea of incorporating both a fun, urban location like NoDa as well as her home field for some shots in her softball gear. She had seen some of my photos there from past sessions, and she liked having something a little different.
Since every Wildflower Senior Experience includes professional hair and makeup, I hooked her up with one of my favorites. I've been using Sabrina (with Look Love Beauty) for years, not only for my clients but for my own photos. She's adorable, sweet, and equally skilled at both hair and makeup. And also because I try to keep things super convenient, she is super close to NoDa! I loved what she did with Lily, especially that gorgeous, slightly understated braid. Lily is the kind of person that's usually found with little makeup, a pony, and cleats. I think she really enjoyed getting dolled up and seeing just how gorgeous she is. Fun fact... Lily happens to have different colored eyes! How cool is that?!
I've gone on before about how much I love NoDa and the people there. I can always tell if someone is just visiting the area or if they actually live or work there. They're the nicest, weirdest, most wonderful people, and it's not uncommon for them to compliment or go out of their way to be extra nice to us. This time, Lily was given some free flowers from a street vendor. Told you, seriously the nicest.
Not only is Lily clearly a really fun and obviously stunning girl, she also happens to be an incredible softball player for Hickory Grove Christian. And she has the state championship swag and college scholarship to prove it! So after Lily's NoDa portion of her senior session, we went to her school's softball field. It was so awesome to see her personality shift a bit once we got to there. This is clearly where she's in her element. Y'all this girl is fierce. She walked onto that field like she owned it and modeled in her gear like she was born to wear it.
I loved everything about Lily's Senior Session... both in NoDa and on the softball field. She was seriously amazing to work with, and I'm so happy with how all the photos turned out. I hope she and her family enjoy them for many years, and her album will bring all those memories back every time she opens it. I can't wait to see her soar and win more championships as a college player!
Since her session, Lily's photos have been featured both by Senior Year Magazine and the Icon Edition of Senior Muse Magazine.
