This team of mine, man. They're something special. Each year gets better and better with these kids, and this year is no exception. To kick off the new Wildflower Team year, I like to put together a big styled shoot complete with hair and makeup, outfits, fun location, etc. This year I teamed up once again with the amazing Norelle Baker for makeup and Jody Fallows for hair. We met at Lenox salons in Huntersville, where Jody works. We basically had the whole place to ourselves, which was pretty cool. My past model team member Baylee tagged along to help out and made sure we had some good mood music to go with it. For outfits, I'm so excited to have partnered with Jan with Hazel & Indigo. She truly has an eye for style and did an incredible job picking these out for my girls. So without further adieu, I give you my 2019/2020 Wildflower Model Team!
For our location, we shot at the beautiful Pine Island Country Club. They're always so wonderful to work with, and it was a great backdrop for the look we were going for.Part of the reason I purposely choose a venue for my styled team shoots is the weather. If there's a slight chance of rain or it's freezing out (Spring can be tricky!), we have a backup option for indoors. Thankfully, Pine Island's ballroom area is just gorgeous as well as their porch! We got some lovely shots of each of the girls out on the patio, stone staircase, and lawn before the drizzle decided to show up for a bit.
To make it even more fun, I also partnered with The Lily Rose in Cornelius, NC who graciously provided some gorgeous gowns for the girls to model. I had worked with them in the past for a team shoot, and they always pick out the prettiest samples for the girls. The rain decided to show up for a bit when we switched to these, so most were shot indoors. I also teamed up again with Christine from Carolina Charm Vintage Rentals who provided her gorgeous furniture pieces. It was the perfect addition and went so well with the overall look. My husband happens to have a fun little ride that we thought would be fun to throw in if we had time. The girls loved it! So while some were changing into the next outfit, a couple of them got in some shots with the car.
Our last look came from Thousand Oaks Clothing Co who makes the cutest tees! These were a great way to wrap up the shoot. Definitely check out her stuff as she has items for the little guys too! It was a long day but we seriously had so much fun together at this styled shoot, and I'm really looking forward to an awesome year with my new Wildflower team!
